What inspires you? What motivates you? What pushes you to live, laugh, and make love?
One evening, when the kids where sleeping, and my husband in bed, I sat and contemplated these very questions. The same evening, I had bought a domain name and was starting to mold what I could write about on my blog. Later that night, I came across this quote from 1904 by Elisabeth-Anne “Bessie” Anderson Stanley titled –What is success?–
He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much;
Who has enjoyed the trust of pure women, the respect of intelligent men and the love of little children;
Who has filled his niche and accomplished his task;
Who has never lacked appreciation of Earth’s beauty or failed to express it;
Who has left the world better than he found it, Whether an improved poppy, a perfect poem, or a rescued soul;
Who has always looked for the best in others and given them the best he had;
Whose life was an inspiration;
Whose memory a benediction.
How much more inspiring and motivating can a quote be? I don’t want to tell you what you should get out of this quote, but instead, want you to let it speak to you individually. Speak to you deep in your soul. Read it, reread it, and come back to it again. Be inspired so as to inspire others.
Every day the sun sets and a new day begins. There is no better day to start than today.
